Sourcing Intelligence · Trust Score 101

HOW WE SCORE
FACTORY TRUST.

The Giwahs Trust Score is an aggregate of six independently audited signals. It is recalculated weekly and entirely separate from paid Featured placement.

Independence Notice

Trust Score is administered independently from Featured Supplier placements. Paying for a Featured tier does not raise a supplier's score, unlock verification badges, or change their position in the regular trust-sorted directory. The two systems are deliberately separated to preserve credibility for buyers.

/ 01 — The Six Signals

What the score is built on.

Six weighted signals, totalling 100 points. Higher-weight signals are harder to fake — third-party verification and documentation dominate.

Business Verification

Is the company a real, registered legal entity?

We validate business registration documents, tax IDs, and incorporation records against public registries in the supplier's country. Active, in-good-standing registrations score highest.

  • Active registration in country of operation
  • Verified tax/VAT identifier
  • No public regulatory infractions on record

Certification Evidence

Documented compliance and standards.

Verified certifications carry the highest weight in the score because they require third-party audit. We check expiry dates, issuing-body validity, and scope of audit.

  • ISO 9001 · GOTS · OEKO-TEX · WRAP · BSCI · SMETA
  • Sustainability certifications (GRS, Fair Trade)
  • Certificate within validity window

Factory Media & Video Proof

Real visual evidence of the production facility.

Verified factory tour videos, dated photographs, and machinery imagery reviewed by our intelligence team. Stock photography is rejected.

  • Dated factory walk-through video
  • Photos of machinery in operation
  • Worker-area documentation (where consented)
04
14/100
Response Rate

How fast and consistently the factory replies to enquiries.

Computed from 90-day rolling response data on RFQs and buyer messages submitted through Giwahs. Faster, more consistent replies score higher.

  • Average response time under 8 hours
  • >90% reply rate across enquiries
  • No abandoned conversation threads

Buyer Feedback

Aggregate signals from buyers who have engaged.

Anonymous post-RFQ and post-engagement signals from buyers, weighted by transaction value indicators. Only verified buyers can submit feedback.

  • Verified-buyer ratings
  • Repeat engagement signals
  • Disputes raised + resolved

Platform Review History

How long the supplier has been verified and re-audited.

Suppliers re-verified across multiple cycles build a longer trust history. Recent badge revocations or extended unresponsive periods reduce the signal.

  • Verified continuously for 12+ months
  • Successfully re-audited in latest cycle
  • No recent badge revocations

Legal disclaimer. The Giwahs Trust Score is an informational indicator aggregated from publicly available data, supplier-submitted documentation, third-party certifications, and platform-derived performance signals. It is not a guarantee of product quality, on-time delivery, ethical sourcing compliance, legal compliance, financial solvency, or any specific commercial outcome. Trust Score is provided as a sourcing intelligence reference only. Buyers are responsible for conducting their own independent due diligence — including factory audits, sample evaluation, contractual safeguards, and legal review — before engaging any supplier.
